In addition to stating our pledge of  allegiance,  with  hand
over  heart,  to  the  United  States,  we also say a special
salute to the State of Virginia and our Confederate heritage,
with an out reached palm up salute.


The Virginia Salute:

I salute the flag of Virginia with
reverence and patriotic devotion to
the "Mother of States and Statesman"
which it represents; "The Old Dominion,"
where liberty and independence were born.


The Confederate Salute:

I salute the Confederate flag
with affection, reverence, and
undying devotion to the cause
for which it stands.
